The Ipswich Regent & Corn Exchange Theatres are two of the largest entertainment venues in East Anglia, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. As part of the total brand refresh, working alongside Ave Design Studio. The new website needed to align with the branding, whilst making searching & booking shows more streamlined.
The client needed a web development agency that could provide proactive technical insight, due to the multiple forms of integration, whilst presenting creative frontend animations & transitions, to encourage site exploration and engagement. The reason for the single website serving both theatres is due to two sharing one brand identity, one box office and one administration team.
Two specific functionality requirements that needed extra attention were the filterable calendar & search categories and the integration of the clients existing TicketSolve account. Due to the lockdown situation which began just as the site was being launched, the client benefited significantly from our modular build approach. This allowed them to edit and upload multiple forms of content, including bespoke messaging on the homepage.
The site pulls through show information directly from the theatre's branded ticketsolve account. We implemented an XML feed of data from Ticketsolve into the CMS, which gives the client the option to expand on individual show information, by adding additional information and images, within the CMS. Website users are now able to filter shows by several categories, including; Genre, Performance Type, Venue and Date. The site also has an online store for gift voucher purchase (also managed within the ticketsolve platform).
In regards to using the website for further marketing, admins can create & customise pop-ups based on specific pages and user cookies. As standard with most of our web builds, users can share multiple pieces of information from the site, sign up to the newsletter and contact the team for assistance.
